    Warehouse Operative

Department: Warehouse

Location: Luton

Reports to: Warehouse and Distribution Manager/Warehouse Operations Manager

Primary Responsibilites:

  • Picking and Packing of customer sales orders
  • Using IT systems to produce delivery notes and carrier labels
  • Loading customer orders onto delivery vehicles
  • Reworking of stock for customer requirements
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy order
  • Adhering to Warehouse and Health & Safety procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • A good standard of written and spoken English
  • A flexible approach to warehouse working
  • Are adaptable, conscientious and hard working
  • The ability to drive a FLT would be an advantage

Hours: 08:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (flexible)

    Business Development Executive

Department: Internal Sales

Location: Luton

Reports to: Internal Sales Manager

Primary Responsibilites:

  • Attainment of the Telemarketing division yearly forecast through pro-active telephone calls.
  • Increasing sales year on year for ultimate maximisation of sales.
  • Managing the daily figures for the Telemarketing division, and reporting these to the Internal Sales Manager
  • Assist the Internal Sales Manager in the reduction of graded stock holding through promotional activity.
  • Promote special offers / promotions to the Telemarketing customer base via telephone and email.
  • Taking orders from customers in a business to business environment.
  • Inputting/ processing sales orders on the IE9 system to a high degree of accuracy achieving business KPI’s.
  • Providing a service of excellence to all customers and internal work colleagues.
  • Speaking to internal colleagues in relation to pricing, stock and availability.

    Field Sales Support Administrator

Department: Internal Sales

Location: Luton

Reports to: Internal Sales Manager

Primary Responsibilites:

  • Taking orders from customers in a business to business environment
  • Inputting/ processing sales orders on the ASW system to a high degree of accuracy achieving business KPI’s
  • Act as first point of contact for our customers and deal appropriately with incoming sale enquiries
  • Managing the order process through to delivery including raising of pick lists and releasing of back orders
  • Keeping the customer informed at all stages of order through to delivery
  • Providing a service of excellence to all customers and internal work colleagues
  • Speaking to internal colleagues in relation to stock and availability
  • Working within strict guidelines
  • Liaison with ASM’s/BDM’s supporting with dispatch of literature, samples and POS material.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a sales support role would be highly advantageous

    Area Sales Manager

Department: External Sales

Location: North East

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager & Sales Director

Primary Responsibilites:

  • Achieves Area Sales Forecasted Targets
  • Plan, forecast, report on sales, business performance to company requirements
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact toward achieving business aims – especially managing personal time and productivity
  • Plan and manage Customer Portfolio/ area to agreed strategy
  • Delivery of commercial policy arrangements and gain signed agreement from our wholesaler network, returned to Deta with completed paperwork with in expected time frame
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate sales methods to optimise business growth and satisfaction
  • Respond and follow up sales enquiries
  • Successfully launch new product ranges into the market to meet company strategy and sales expectations.
  • Deliver upon promotional activity along with responsibility for selling graded product prior to stock take

    Inventory Planner

Department: Purchasing

Location: Luton

Reports to: Inventory Planning Manager

Primary Responsibilites:

  • Supporting the Inventory Planning Manager in ensuring that inventory levels are optimised to maximise customer service levels and at the same time minimise the stock holding costs to the business.
  • Interpretation and validation of purchasing plan, generating and seeking approval of purchase orders, placement and progression of purchase orders and associated paperwork (proforma invoice approval, LC requests, deposit requests, etc.).
  • Liaising with suppliers and coordinating shipments through the company’s nominated freight supplier and warehouse to arrange goods inwards bookings.
  • Booking and costing stock onto the ERP system, processing related paperwork (packing lists, bill of lading, invoices) etc. and liaising with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Identifying shortages, potential out of stocks and taking appropriate actions / measures (rework, local sourcing, air freight) to minimise disruption to the business and to maximise customer service levels.
  • Processing special orders (project, export, engraving, made to order).
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders (sales and marketing) to proactively manage and resolve all supply related issues.
  • Working with and supporting suppliers in maximising despatch performance in line with agreed targets, reporting and interpreting results monthly to suppliers and working with Management to put in place any corrective actions or initiatives as agreed.
  • Processing inventory transfers/adjustments and cost adjustments once approved and liaising with the relevant departments as appropriate.
  • Processing rework requests and liaising with the warehouse team to ensure that these are clearly understood and the system updated accordingly.
  • Managing and processing supplier returns and junking of stock following approval.
  • Supporting the end of year stock take and processing paperwork as appropriate.

What we are looking for:

Key Skills

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years inventory planning experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough and accurate approach to their work
  • Computer literate with strong excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables)
  • Resourceful and lateral thinking

    Commercial Assistant

Department: Commercial

Location: Birmingham

Reports to: Commercial Manager

Primary Responsibilites:

  1. Commercial
  • Support Commercial Manager with the management of the company’s commercial offer and the commercial policies it enters in to with its partners.
  • Support Commercial Manager with the review, calculation, implementation and communication of product pricing of new and existing products.
  • Undertake detailed analysis and provide the management team with direction and recommendations on the right commercial decisions for the business.  
  • Work closely with marketing colleagues in the generation of appropriate collateral (price lists, flyers etc).
  • Work closely with business systems team and the customer base to ensure internal systems are updated in line with any price movements.
  • Proactively support the external and internal salesforce with sales activity and new business tenders.
  1. Product Management
  • Identifying opportunities to develop, strengthen and/or rationalise the product offer.
  • Identifying and delivering promotional opportunities to drive incremental sales and margin.
  • Monitoring, reporting and commentating on sales and margin performance monthly by reference to the agreed sales forecast.

  • Collate website content, including ongoing development and regular updating of news items, new product insertions, updates and promotional activity.
  • Support content creation and distribution of targeted email and physical campaigns to identified customers. 
  • Support the development of advertisements and news items for publication within trade press
  • Create / manage artwork in support of all promotional activity (e.g. point of sale material, flyers, etc,).
  • Create and manage artwork requirements for company and customer literature as appropriate, to include brochures, flyers, posters, etc.
  • Develop and implement a programme of quarterly internal and external newsletter releases.
  • Maintain product image / catalogue libraries.

  • Determining product strategy and managing the product lifecycle for the Deta product portfolio
  • Identifying opportunities to expand the product portfolio with complementary products and ranges 
  • Maintaining an awareness of competitor products, ranges and routes to market
  • Working closely with the Purchasing, Technical and Marketing teams in successfully executing product strategies
  • Determining and delivering product marketing communications 
  • Management of product pricing by reference to market forces and competitor activity
  • Supporting the sales and specification teams in maximising sales opportunities for the product portfolio

    Assistant Buyer

Primary Responsibilites:

To contribute to the continuous growth of the company through effective and profitable management of the Deta product portfolio.  Specific responsibilities to include:

  • Take a proactive role in managing the company’s supplier and cost base and contributing to key commercial decisions
  • Actively drive and report on all project activities including new product introductions and resourcing projects by defining critical paths, sharing status and actions and working closely with marketing, technical and inventory control teams
  • Supporting with the resolution of supply chain issues, product quality issues, new business tenders and promotional activities with acceptable commercial resolutions
  • Maintenance of a raw material, exchange rate and freight rate tracker and reporting their impact on profitability to the business
  • Validation of cost price movements by reference to changes in market indices, tracking these and reporting their impact on profitability to the business
  • Preparation of landed cost templates as required to support commercial pricing decisions
  • Maintenance of supplier and product files ensuring that internal systems aligns with agreed terms

What we are looking for:

  • Professional, self-motivated and passionate person with drive and ambition to deliver results and progress within the organisation
  • Educated to Degree Level in a relevant business discipline (e.g. Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Studies, Management, Finance)
